THE MECHANISM / KNOW THE NEXT SYMBOL

One wheel changes a whole column.

All information needed for a move is visible. The small choice is which column to change, which way to move it and which pattern to read afterwards.

1Read the repeating sequence

Every strip loops through Cherries, Lemon, Grapes, Bell, Seven and Coin, then returns to Cherries. Only three consecutive symbols are visible on each reel. The other symbols are not secret information: the sequence is available to every player.

Moving a column upward takes its upper symbol out of view, lifts the other two and introduces the next symbol at the bottom. Moving downward performs the reverse. The workshop arrows use exactly these directions; there is no random animation deciding where a reel stops.

2A turn has one mechanical action

Choose a single reel and move it one step. Do not adjust two columns, move the same column twice or undo a completed shift after another player has begun. While learning, agree any correction before you collect the award and pass the turn.

After the shift, you may select any of the five legal patterns. You are not required to score the row that visually changed most. A pair can sit at opposite ends of its chosen pattern, with a different symbol between the matching two.

3The board carries the conversation forward

The next person starts from your physical arrangement. There is no automatic reset between turns or rounds. Planning therefore includes a second question: what useful adjustment will be available to the player who follows you?

Strike modifies a counting example rather than a reel position. Once the card's temporary substitution has been scored, the real symbols are still the ones produced by the single mechanical shift. Keep them visible when handing the board over.
